Glute pain can sneak up on you, making daily activities uncomfortable and leaving you wondering what’s really causing that ache in your hips or buttocks. Whether it’s a dull soreness or a sharp, shooting pain, understanding the problem is the first step to relief. At Medissage, we don’t just treat the pain — we find the root cause and help your body heal in a way that lasts.
Glute pain usually doesn’t come from just one muscle. It often involves the big glute muscles—the gluteus maximus, medius, and minimus—as well as smaller muscles deep inside the hip like the piriformis. Other muscles like your hamstrings and lower back muscles can also cause pain. Often, glute pain is linked to other problems like tight lower back muscles, hip issues, or nerve pain called sciatica. That’s why we look at your whole body to find the real cause of your pain, not just where it hurts. Here’s how we tackle glute pain and get you back to feeling your best.

Our treatment plan at Medissage follows three important phases to help you heal properly, it's called the Medi Massage Protocol:
Phase 1: Reduce the Pain – Here, the goal is to lower your pain, so it happens less and is not as strong; visits usually happen every 7 to 10 days.
Phase 2: Keep the Pain Controlled – Your body starts to get used to the treatment, and you may need to do small exercises or changes in everyday activities; appointments are every 10 to 14 days.
Phase 3: Stay Pain-Free – Pain is mostly gone, and many people find other problems that need attention, so some choose to continue treatment to keep feeling good without medicine or surgery.
We watch closely how you improve after each Medi Massage session. If we don’t see the progress we want, we’ll look at other possible causes and might send you to a specialist.
But usually, with these small improvements, we know the treatment is working.
Don’t let glute pain hold you back. Come visit Medissage for a friendly check-up and a treatment plan made just for you.
