Glute pain can sneak up on you. It makes daily activities uncomfortable and leaves you wondering about the cause of that ache in your hips or buttocks. Whether it’s a dull soreness or a sharp, shooting pain, understanding the problem is the first step to relief. At Medissage, we don’t just treat the pain; we find the root cause and help your body heal in a way that lasts.

What Causes Glute Pain?

Glute pain usually doesn’t come from just one muscle. It often involves the big glute muscles—the gluteus maximus, medius, and minimus. Additionally, smaller muscles deep inside the hip, like the piriformis, can contribute to discomfort. Other muscles, such as your hamstrings and lower back muscles, can also cause pain.

Often, glute pain is linked to other issues like tight lower back muscles, hip problems, or nerve pain known as sciatica. That’s why we look at your whole body to find the real cause of your pain, not just where it hurts. Here’s how we tackle glute pain and get you back to feeling your best.

The Medi Massage Protocol

Our treatment plan at Medissage follows three important phases to help you heal properly. It's called the Medi Massage Protocol:

Phase 1: Reduce the Pain

In this phase, the goal is to lower your pain. We aim for it to happen less frequently and with less intensity. Visits usually occur every 7 to 10 days.

Phase 2: Keep the Pain Controlled

As your body starts to adapt to the treatment, you may need to do small exercises or make changes in your everyday activities. Appointments are scheduled every 10 to 14 days.

Phase 3: Stay Pain-Free

By this phase, your pain is mostly gone. Many people discover other issues that need attention, so some choose to continue treatment to maintain their well-being without relying on medicine or surgery.

Monitoring Your Progress

We closely monitor how you improve after each Medi Massage session. If we don’t see the progress we want, we’ll explore other possible causes and might refer you to a specialist.

However, with these small improvements, we know the treatment is working. Don’t let glute pain hold you back. Come visit Medissage for a friendly check-up and a treatment plan tailored just for you.
