If you have ever felt a sharp pain in your heel when you first get out of bed or after standing for a long time, you are not alone. Plantar fasciitis is a common cause of heel pain that can make walking or standing painful and frustrating. But the good news is, you do not have to live with the pain or turn to surgery or medicine right away. At Medissage we know plantar fasciitis is more than just a foot problem — it happens because muscles and the way you move get out of balance. We offer simple, effective care to help you walk comfortably again.
Plantar fasciitis happens when the thick band of tissue under your foot, called the plantar fascia, gets irritated and sore. Common causes include wearing the wrong shoes, tight calf, or Achilles tendon muscles, doing too much activity too fast, or standing a lot on hard floors. The pain usually involves not just the foot but also the calf muscles and smaller muscles in the foot. Since your body works as one system, you might also get knee, hip, or even shoulder pain from changing how you walk because of the heel pain. That is why it is important to treat the whole body, not just the foot.

At Medissage we use the Medi Massage Protocol, it is a simple three-step plan to help you heal:
Phase 1: Reduce the Pain – Our goal is to lower your pain to a level where it happens less and is not so bad, with visits every 7 to 10 days.
Phase 2: Keep the Pain Under Control – Your body starts healing better, and we might give you easy exercises or minor changes to do at home to help this, with appointments every 10 to 14 days.
Phase 3: Stay Pain-Free – Your pain should be almost gone. Some people find other small problems to fix and choose to keep coming because this drug-free, gentle way works so well.
We evaluate your progress after each Medi Massage session. If improvement is minimal, we will explore other potential underlying causes and, may suggest an alternative treatment protocol, or consider referring you to a professional in our network to find the most viable treatment option for you.
Do not let heel pain stop you from moving. Come to Medi Massage for a full check and a plan made just for you.
