What Should I Expect from My First Treatment:
Comprehensive consultation with an understanding of what your current physical condition and needs are. Followed by a treatment.

Does The Medi Massage Hurt?
No, the massage itself does not hurt. However, you can expect to experience a degree of muscular soreness depending on the level of tension and trigger points that are present.

How Is Medissage Different from A Spa or Physio?
The purpose of Medissage is to identify and correct muscular pain conditions. Each treatment is specific to your pain patterns and physical dysfunction. Only hands-on manual techniques are used to address muscular issues and improve your physical condition.

What If I Am Unsure of Which Treatment Is Best for Me?
As part of your consultation, the most appropriate course of action will be discussed.

What Do You Wear for A Massage?
Dress as you normally do, it is always useful to keep a pair of shorts on hand.

When Should I Avoid Getting a Massage
Chronic illness, open wounds or illness unless advised by your medical practitioner.

What If I Have Body Acne, Skin Conditions, Or Forgot to Shave?
Before your massage, a consultation will help determine, if necessary, alternative approaches can be discussed, and areas with issues like facial acne can be avoided. Body hair does not impact the effectiveness of the massage.

Will I be sorted out after I just had one session/booking?
Depending on the type of condition, you might need multiple sessions, but that will be discussed during your consultation.

Does it matter if it is a muscle or a bone issue?
Yes, if your issue is related to soft tissue dysfunction (i.e. dysfunction related to muscles, fascia and lymphatic channels) then our treatments are typically very effective, as the techniques are tailored to address issues and imbalances related to soft tissue. If your issue is caused by an underlying bone dysfunction (i.e. spinal stenosis etc) then our treatment may be able to bring some relief from and reduce some aspects of the pain, however the results can be limited as the treatments are not suited for correcting underlying bone/spinal issues. If you are trying to avoid surgery for a bone/spinal issue, then our treatments can still be a valuable part of your pain management programme.

Do we accept medical aid and payment plans?
At this point we do not accept medical aid nor payment plans; however, we do sell packages at discounted rates. When you buy any four packages upfront you receive 10% discount.
